We opened our Curly Hair Salon in 2022 with one clear intention – to create a welcoming space where your curls are truely understood and cared for.
As a third-generation hairstylist, hair has always been part of my life, yet growing up I struggled to understand and manage my own curls. I frequently left salons feeling unheard and disappointed. Early in my career, I recognised a significant gap in curly hair education within the industry, a gap that became even more apparent as natural curls began to be embraced again around 2019. This inspired me to dedicate my time, energy and passion to specialising deeply in curly hair.
With a background in P.E. and Sport Science, Laszlo has a unique ability to explain the science behind curly hair in a clear, easy-to-understand way. He helps clients understand how curl hydration truly works, often revealing just how much science sits behind healthy curl care. Alongside this education, Laszlo brings a deeply calming presence to the basin experience, drawing on his background in massage and healing.
Laszlo and I have worked together for over 20 years in the health and beauty industry, bringing a shared vision and complementary skill set into the salon.
We care deeply about the overall wellbeing of our clients and the experience they have in our space. We love creating transformations that extend beyond hair, leaving our clients feeling happier and more confident.
Melissa is a dedicated curly hair specialist known for her expertise in enhancing natural curls and helping women embrace their natural texture with confidence. Having lived with her own curls for a lifetime, she deeply understands the challenges curly clients face and is passionate about guiding them toward healthier, more manageable curls.
